February 2013
This issue of the ASD Tech Tips includes a new web 2.0 tool, ideas for classroom creativity and innovation, and another plug for using Twitter as a personal learning network. Enjoy!
Web 2.0 Spotlight: Edcanvas
www.edcanvas.com
Edcanvas is a cool new web tool that allows you to have all of your multimedia and digital material for a lesson in one place. You then can present it on your projector, share it with your students, and/or post it for on demand viewing. The video on the right will show you how easy it is to create an Edcanvas. How would you fill an Edcanvas? If you decide to use this tool in your classroom, please send it my way. I would love to see examples of classroom use! |

Creativity and Innovation is one of the 21st Century Skills that should be expected in our classroom environments. The link below is an Edcanvas (see above) that I created that is full of resources and tools about creativity/innovation.

What does all of this have to do with technology integration?
The goal of our integration team (Matt Anderson, Nadine Mathu, Deb Danen, Dawn Austin, Corey Hanson, Myself) is to find technology resources that make your job easier and ultimately impact student learning. Each of you understand the importance of creativity and innovation in your curricular areas, hopefully you are able to incorporate some of the resources I provided above in your classroom.

Let me know if you are looking for ways to integrate some of the ideas above or your own CREATIVE/INNOVATIVE idea. I can observe, brainstorm, and help get you started for current or future lessons.
