January 2011
Happy New Year!
For the January Tech Tips, I thought we would go back and reflect on 2011 and look ahead to the future. Enjoy!
The video above is exciting, but I know the questions I will get...How do I get that stuff? Who is going to pay for that stuff? Is somebody going to train me on how to use that stuff?! Well, to quote Matt Anderson, "It isn't about the stuff." While watching the video, I created the word cloud above using keywords that were either said or implied. Think about the tools you have and use in your classroom...How do you continue to challenge your students? What ways can you facilitate integration and collaboration in your classroom right now? How can you empower your students to make choices that enhance their own learning? When lesson planning, how do you create balanced opportunities for successful learning? The classroom of the future isn't about the next, new, innovative stuff, it is about creating a learning environment that adapts to the changing needs of your students.

Web Tool of the Month - Visuwords
www.visuwords.com
Visuwords is online graphical dictionary. When you enter a word into the search, your response is a web of information about the word. Visuword is a dictionary and a thesaurus. It is really hard to put Visuwords into words (no pun intended). Check out the video below to get a better look at Visuwords. |
